Safety is no accident - Stay Hydrated

Yuma, Arizona - Although it’s been “relatively” cool this Spring, we will soon be seeing higher temperatures (into the 90s at least) and we have had some responses to people suffering symptoms of dehydration. This is a good time to start thinking about heat illness precautions, before the “real” heat sets in and is here to stay for the Summer. We want to give our bodies a chance to start acclimating to the warmer weather, when 100 degree days become “normal”.

Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma Police Department is notifying the community that Manuel Joe COTA III, 40 is now residing at 1405 W. 15th Street, Yuma, Arizona 85364.  He is described as 5 feet, 5 inches, 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Fatality Collision at Avenue C and 24th Street

Yuma, Arizona - On Saturday, at about 10:34 p.m., Yuma Police officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision with injuries at Avenue C and W. 24th Street.

National Take Back Initiative

Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.  Bring your pills for disposal to the Yuma Police Department, 1500 S. 1st Avenue on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
