Learn how to build a foundation for long-term wealth and how to use compounding interest to build retirement funds. Following the presentation, participants will assess current income and expenses, set future goals to determine when to retire, and how much income is needed for how long.

Yuma, Arizona - On Monday, January 29, 2018 at 3:35 a.m., the Yuma Police Department responded to a suspicious fire at Mesa Heights Apartment and several other residential structures, located in the 2100 block of Arizona Avenue, in reference to a fire. The Yuma Fire Department was already on scene.
Shawn Redd Announces Run for Arizona U.S. Senate

Phoenix, Arizona - Today, local Navajo businessman and entrepreneur, Shawn Redd, announces his run for Arizona U.S. Senate. The democrat is a member of the Navajo Nation. Originally from Cortez, Colorado, Redd has lived and done business in Arizona for 15 years. His mother was a Nez, from the Redhouse Clan and belongs to the Kaibeto Chapter. Growing up, Redd got a taste for entrepreneurial life working at his father’s car business in the Four Corners area. At a young age, Redd was tapped as a consultant to the Navajo Nation for more than 20 years, where he focused on economic development issues.
AWC’s 2018 Commencement Ceremony Marks Historic Partnership

Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College’s May 18th commencement ceremony will mark an historical milestone. The celebration will feature graduating students from AWC as well as Northern Arizona University, Arizona State University and University or Arizona. This is a first-ever combined commencement celebration with representation from all three universities at a community college.
FTC Halts Deceptive Mosquito-Repellent Claims for Aromaflage Perfume and Candles

Washington, DC - A New Jersey-based company and its owners have agreed to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that they used deceptive claims to sell purportedly mosquito-repelling perfume sprays and scented candles. The FTC contends the company’s efficacy claims for its Aromaflage products – marketed as “fragrance with function” – are not supported by scientific evidence, and that multiple five-star Amazon reviews were written by one of the owners and her relatives.
