Phoenix, Arizona - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced 67-year-old Daniel Barraza Nevarez has been sentenced to eight months in jail and seven years of probation for felony counts of Fraudulent Schemes & Artifices and Money Laundering.

Camp Verde Man Sentenced to 12 Months and One Day for Assault on a Federal Officer

Phoenix, Arizona - This week, Kelton Treyvon Prentiss, 23, of Camp Verde, Arizona, was sentenced by Senior United States District Judge David G. Campbell to 12 months and one day in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release.   Prentiss had previously pleaded guilty to assault on a federal officer.

Tucson, Arizona - The Justice Department announced Wednesday that it has reached a settlement with Afni Inc. (Afni), a customer service provider headquartered in Bloomington, Illinois. The settlement resolves a complaint that an Afni location in Tucson, Arizona, discriminated against a lawful permanent resident in violation of the anti-discrimination provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).

Tonalea Man Sentenced to Prison for Assaulting Navajo Nation Officer

Phoenix, Arizona - Monday, Randell William Lane, 30, of Tonalea, Ariz. was sentenced by U.S. District Judge John J. Tuchi to 26 months’ imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release.  Lane, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, had previously pleaded guilty to assault on a federal officer.
