Phoenix, Arizona - Governor Doug Ducey Monday announced the appointment of Elizabeth Thorson as interim director of the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA). The Department of Administration serves as the internal services agency covering human resources, procurement, accounting, benefits, risk management, grants, and information technology for the State of Arizona. Mrs. Thorson was formerly the Deputy Director of ADOA.

Phoenix, Arizona - On February 4, 2019, Jayson Lee Yazzie, 40, of Tuba City, Arizona, a member of the Navajo Nation, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Diane J. Humetewa to 216 months in prison, followed by a term of three years of supervised release. Yazzie had previously pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
