Yuma, Arizona - Dear Rusty: What percentage, if any, should I be able to collect on my husband’s Social Security benefits? He started his at full retirement age and I’m turning 62 in 3 months (born 1957). I did work and am eligible to collect on my own work record. Half of his benefit would be approximately $300 more a month than I would collect with my own benefit. I am not currently working and do not have plans to go back to work.

Yuma, Arizona - The City of Yuma Police Department is conducting an impaired driving detail on Wednesday, November 21st; Thursday, November 22nd; Friday November 23rd and Saturday, November 24th, 2018. Additional officers will be roving city streets looking to stop and arrest drivers who are impaired by alcohol or drugs. These DUI patrols are, in addition to regularly scheduled patrol officers, all looking for signs of an impaired driver behind the wheel.

Yuma, Arizona - On Friday November 9, 2018, the Yuma Fire Department received a mutual aid request regarding a deployment to the “Camp” Fire burning in northern California. At about 3:50 pm an Engine and four YFD personnel left Yuma to meet with other fire department apparatus and personnel from Imperial County. We were later told the location this team was being sent to had been changed, and they were now going to the “Woolsey” Fire in Ventura and Malibu counties.

Yuma, Arizona - Two top-20 teams are set to collide once again in the El Toro Bowl. Since its return in 2011, the game has featured teams from all around the country, and 2018 will be no different. This year’s version will pit the sixth-ranked Lackawanna Falcons (10-0) against the 19th ranked Arizona Western College Matadors (6-4) on Saturday, December 1, at 1 p.m.
