Phoenix, Arizona - Governor Doug Ducey Wednesday joined families and advocates, lawmakers, school superintendents and more to sign S.B. 1468, also known as “the Mitch Warnock Act,” legislation to expand suicide awareness and prevention training in Arizona’s public schools. The bill, introduced by State Senator Sean Bowie (D-18), passed through the state legislature with unanimous support earlier this year.

Phoenix, Arizona - The FY 2020 budget allows schools to access $20 million in funding for more school counselors and SROs through a grant program administered by the Department of Education. Phoenix, Arizona - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced Alan Dain Rodriguez, 37, of Litchfield Park, will spend 11 years in prison for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sherry K. Stephens also sentenced Rodriguez to lifetime probation upon his release from prison.
