Yuma, Arizona - On Sunday, at approximately 12:20 p.m., the Yuma Police Department responded to a suspicious fire in an apartment located in the 100 block of E. 23rd Street.  The Yuma Fire Department was already on scene.

Phoenix, Arizona - Governor Doug Ducey today announced a cooperative agreement with the state’s banks to protect small businesses and families from eviction and foreclosure. Banks also committed to expediting the application and approval of small business loans as part of the $349 billion Paycheck Protection Program passed by Congress and signed into law last week.

The extension follows updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and an announcement from the White House extending physical distancing guidelines until April 30, 2020.

Phoenix, Arizona - Governor Doug Ducey ordered flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset today, March 30, 2020, to honor Commander Greg Carnicle of the Phoenix Police Department. Commander Carnicle died on Sunday, March 29, in the line of duty while responding to a domestic violence dispute. He was a 31-year law enforcement veteran and held positions including the special assignments and K9 units as well as overseeing evening and weekend patrol operations.

Phoenix, Arizona - Governor Doug Ducey Friday signed a bipartisan state budget agreement that adds $50 million for Arizona’s COVID-19 response - dollars to assist Arizonans needing eviction assistance, struggling small businesses, our food banks and our homeless population.
