Yuma, Arizona - Stargazers can enjoy the cosmos at the Foothills Library! The library’s astronomy group will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9th and 16th, in the Foothills Library parking lot, 13226 E. South Frontage Road. Lawn chairs, binoculars, and telescopes welcome.

On Saturday, November 4th and 18th, the Foothills Library will host Dungeons and Dragons, the iconic role playing game, at 2:00 p.m. New and experienced players are welcome. Characters will be provided, but custom ones can be made upon request prior to the event.

Yuma, Arizona - On Thursday, November 2nd over 120 Yuma area fifth graders will experience college life for a day. Arizona Western College and Northern Arizona University Yuma Branch Campus continues to invite groups of 5th graders each semester to campus. Four classes from Rancho Viejo Elementary School will participate in college life on the AWC/NAU-Yuma campus during the twelfth ‘I’m Going 2 College’ event.

Washington, DC - Deputy Secretary of State, John Sullivan, will address representatives from the diplomatic corps at a reception in support of the United States’ bid to host the 2023 World’s Fair on Thursday, at 4:30 pm. Mark Ritchie, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Minnesota World’s Fair Bid Committee, will also deliver short remarks. This event will take place at the U.S. Diplomacy Center Pavilion on the 21st Street side of the U.S. Department of State.
