Yuma, Arizona - The City of Yuma invites residents to complete a brief online survey about the safety and convenience of bicycling.

The 10- question survey is part of an effort to have Yuma become recognized as a Bicycle Friendly Community award recipient in the future. This award is sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists, the organization that represents bicyclists in the movement to create safer roads and stronger communities. The League grants awards to cities and towns interested in improving bicycling in their area as a form of transportation and recreation.

The online survey can be accessed here. It will close at midnight on September 15.

The survey will provide valuable information to help both the City and the League better understand the community’s bicycling needs and desires. Information will be used as part of a multiple-step process to improve the City’s bicycle infrastructures.

This is the first time that the City has applied for Bicycle Friendly Community recognition.
