Yuma, Arizona - Yuma Area Agricultural Council State Legislative Tour stopping at AWC :
Friday, January 18, 2019 at Arizona Western College Yuma Campus.
The Yuma Area Agricultural Council is holding a State Legislative Tour for approximately 60 Arizona state legislators. Elected officials will have an opportunity to get a first-hand look at Yuma County’s agriculture industry during the two-day tour.
The last stop on the tour will be the AWC Agricultural Sciences Land Lab. The campus visit will conclude with lunch and a talk about AWC Agricultural Sciences, how its programs tie into the various aspects of agriculture in Yuma County, and the importance of agriculture to the local and state economy. The presentation will be given by AWC Agriculture majors and Agricultural Science Manager Leigh Loughead.
The AWC Agricultural Sciences department helps to plan and coordinate this annual event for elected officials.
