Yuma, Arizona - Café de Ingles Conversaciónal will be held Thursday, November 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 30th, and Saturday, November 4th and 18th, at the Foothills Library. Leave your fear of speaking at home and practice your English over a cup of coffee in a supportive, low-stress environment! The group will meet from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Yuma, Arizona - On Wednesday, November 8th, the Main Library will host "Cassini Mission to Saturn: a 20-year mission to the outer solar system.” Join Yuma Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator Ken Conway at 10:00 a.m. for an overview of the mission, from planning, design, and international collaboration to its discoveries and dramatic ending. Attendees will also learn more about the Yuma RECON project, and how citizen scientists can become involved in outer solar system research.

Yuma, Arizona - On October 18, 2017, the Yuma City Council approved the use of grant funds provided by the Arizona Companion Animal Spay and Neuter Committee. The Yuma Police Department received a grant, which provides $10,000 to assist with spaying and neutering of domesticated dogs and cats and $6,000 to assist with spaying and neutering of feral cats.
