Recent Fires generate concerns

Yuma, Arizona - Recently there have been some fires in Yuma that were intentionally set or otherwise appeared suspicious. Some may have been accidental and others just unknown. Whether they are intentionally set to do harm, or not, these types of fires are everyone’s concern.

Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety 2017 Grant

Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma Police Department was awarded several grants from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS).  A portion of the grant money was used to purchase new equipment.  The rest was used to cover overtime costs for Selective Traffic Enforcement Programs and DUI / Impaired Driving Enforcement Details.

North End Fires - Causes under investigation

Yuma, Arizona - Starting about 11:30 pm Tuesday, over the next three hours the Yuma Fire Department responded to four fires in Yuma’s north end.

AWC to Celebrate Students at University Transfer Signing Day

Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College Transfer Services, in collaboration with the AWC Foundation, AWC Alumni Association and the KEYS program, will be celebrating students at University Transfer Signing Day on Thursday, November 30. The event will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the 3C Breezeway on the Yuma Campus.
