Yuma, Arizona - On Tuesday July 26, 2016 just before 8:30 pm Yuma Fire Department personnel were sent to the area of the 1900 blk of Paris Court to assist the Yuma Police Department with a welfare check of a person high up in a palm tree. A technical rescue was begun with firefighters initially climbing to the person’s location.

Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma Police Department is continuing our efforts to raise money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics by kicking off another “Tip-A-Cop” event.  The event will be held at Chili’s Restaurant, 1331 S. Yuma Palms Pkwy, on Thursday August 4, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
