Missing Thermal Imaging Camera

Yuma, Arizona - On September 12, Yuma Fire Department personnel were on a residential fire response in the George Bell Avenue area. In the course of working on that fire scene a Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) became separated from a firefighter’s gear. A search of the area was not able to locate the camera and no one has turned it in to authorities. A report has been made with the Yuma Police Department.

Phoenix, Arizona - The Phoenix Suns have teamed up with the Governor’s Office, Maricopa County, the City of Phoenix and the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence in support of the Paint Phoenix Purple Campaign and National Domestic Awareness Month when the Suns host the Brisbane Bullets in a preseason matchup on Friday, October 13 at 7 p.m.
Governor Ducey Heading To UK To Promote Economic Development

Phoenix, Arizona - Governor Ducey will take part in a series of economic development meetings Oct. 19 - 22 in the United Kingdom to tout the economic advantages of doing business in Arizona. During the economic development trip, organized by the Arizona Commerce Authority, the governor will meet one-on-one with high-level international business leaders. In addition, he’ll attend the Arizona Cardinals game at Twickenham stadium on October 22nd where he’ll meet with tourism industry representatives and promote travel to Arizona.

Observation of Fire Prevention Week began Tuesday evening (October 10th) with the highlighting of advances in fire prevention by Fire Marshal Kayla Holiman, reading of the Fire Prevention Week Proclamation by Deputy Mayor Gary Knight, and special recognitions of several City of Yuma fire personnel and others.

Washington, DC - I think we’ve taken this pumpkin spice thing too far. Don’t get me wrong, I love fall. That first crisp evening when you need to put on a sweater, the crunch of leaves under your feet, homecoming football games, but pumpkin spice? It’s obvious that the pumpkin spice council’s marketing team has done an outstanding job because it’s in everything now: cookies, chocolate candy, ice cream, oatmeal, pancakes, marshmallows, and now even in a special “limited edition” of my favorite breakfast cereal.
