Yuma, Arizona - The Friends of the Foothills Library will sell used books, DVD's and magazines from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 17th, and from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18th, at the Foothills Library, 13226 E. South Frontage Road, Yuma.

Phoenix, Arizona - Governor Ducey is calling on Congress to pass an extension of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) before funding runs out in mid-December. In a letter today to members of Arizona’s congressional delegation, the governor asked them to reauthorize the program, known in Arizona as KidsCare. It currently provides coverage to more than 23,000 children.

I started collecting Social Security at my full retirement age and although my current wife is not yet eligible to receive benefits, I now have a young child whose future I need to worry about.
