Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma Fire Department has responded to over 15,037 emergency calls for service so far in 2018. Many of these calls were for preventable injuries. For 2019, make a “Resolution for Safety” and think about what you can do to make the coming year a safer one for you and your family.  Preventable injuries occur on the street, at home, and at work.

Some people discharge a firearm into the air to bring in the New Year.  The Yuma Police Department would like to remind the community this is a felony offense and encourage anyone that witnesses this type of criminal activity to call the police department immediately.
