Phoenix, Arizona - Attorney General Mark Brnovich applauded the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) yesterday for its efforts in crafting a proposed settlement in the planned merger of T-Mobile US, Inc. (“T-Mobile”) and Sprint Corporation (“Sprint”) (collectively the “New T-Mobile”) that adopts several provisions sought by the Arizona Attorney General's Office ("AGO").

Phoenix, Arizona - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced that ALTA, an Arizona startup that will allow cash-intensive businesses to make and receive digital payments without a bank, has been approved to enter Arizona's FinTech Sandbox. ALTA is now the seventh participant in the Arizona Attorney General's Office FinTech program, the first program of its kind established in the nation.

Phoenix, Arizona - Attorney General Mark Brnovich Monday announced that a coalition of 50 Attorneys General, comprising 48 states, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico has reached a settlement with Equifax as the result of an investigation into a massive 2017 data breach. The investigation found that Equifax’s failure to maintain a reasonable security system enabled hackers to penetrate its systems, exposing the data of 56 percent of American adults—the largest-ever breach of consumer data.
