Vice President Joe Biden’s Meeting With Burma State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi

Washington, DC - The Vice President hosted leading Members of Congress this morning for a breakfast meeting with Burma State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi at the Naval Observatory.  The Vice President and Members welcomed the recent progress in Burma's democratic transition, discussed the President's decision to terminate the national emergency and end Executive Order-based sanctions, and shared views on areas for future bilateral cooperation.  

Energy Department Announces Up to $107 Million for Innovative Projects and New Funding to Advance Solar Technologies

Washington, DC - Today the Energy Department announced up to $107 million in new projects and planned funding in order to support America's continued leadership in clean energy innovation through solar technology. Under the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's (EERE) SunShot Initiative, the Department will fund 40 projects with a total of $42 million to improve PV performance, reliability, and manufacturability, and to enable greater market penetration for solar technologies.

Research team developing cooling innovation is finalist in R and D 100
