Washington, DC - The Vice President spoke by telephone today with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos to congratulate the Colombian government on the recent breakthrough in the peace negotiations with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, known as the FARC, which was announced on June 23rd.

Yuma, Arizona - The City of Yuma Police Department is conducting an impaired driving detail on Thursday, March 17th, Friday, March 18th, and Saturday, March 19th, 2016. Additional officers will be used to rove city streets looking to stop and arrest drivers who are impaired by alcohol or drugs. These DUI patrols are, in addition to regularly scheduled patrol officers, all looking for the signs of an impaired driver behind the wheel.

Yuma, Arizona - The law allows for the public to possess or use novelty/minor types fireworks, however many types of fireworks remain illegal in Arizona, specifically those designed to rise into the air and/or explode. Fireworks continue to be prohibited on all public property including all parks, sidewalks, streets and rights-of-way, except by permit for supervised public displays only.
