Gut Bacteria can Cause, Predict and Prevent Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rochester, Minnesota - The bacteria in your gut do more than break down your food. They also can predict susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis, suggests Veena Taneja, Ph.D., an immunologist at Mayo Clinic’s Center for Individualized Medicine. Dr. Taneja recently published two studies ─ one in Genome Medicine and one in Arthritis and Rheumatology ─ connecting the dots between gut microbiota and rheumatoid arthritis.

Charlotte, North Carolina - The Charlotte Division of the FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted for murdering a Fort Bragg soldier. A federal warrant for murder (18 USC 1111) was issued for 27-year-old Jason Earl Armstrong, Jr. on July 8, 2016. Armstrong is accused of killing his wife, Iris Armstrong, inside their home on the Fort Bragg Army Base in Fayetteville, North Carolina on July 1, 2016.

(Kwong Tung Foods) doing business as Canton Foods; the firm’s president and owner, Vieta C. Wang; and vice president, Juney H. Wang, to prevent the distribution of adulterated noodles and sprouts, the Department of Justice announced Friday.
