Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College students have the chance to be the official AWC mascot and earn a $500 scholarship. Tryouts for Andale, the AWC mascot, will be held on Wednesday, July 11 at 6:30 p.m. at "The House," AWC's home gymnasium located on main campus, 2020 South Avenue 8E. 

No prior experience is needed, but each participant must be a current AWC student with at least a nine-hour credit load. Tryout participants will be interviewed, and then asked to do an impromptu performance in a situation. Two participants will be chosen, and each will earn a $500 scholarship per semester. Those who are chosen must attend preseason camp in August with the AWC Spirit Team.
