Yuma, Arizona - Friday, at 6:11p.m. officers were dispatched to a hit and run vehicle collision that occurred in the 1800 blk. of W. 6th Pl. 81 year old, Enrique Carval was crossing 6th Pl, and was struck by a vehicle traveling west bound. Carval received serious head injuries, and was transported to YRMC. The vehicle fled the scene, and was located unoccupied a short distance from the scene.
During the course of the investigation, officers discovered another vehicle that had been struck by the same vehicle in the 400 blk of S. Magnolia Ave., prior to the collision involving the pedestrian. The investigation is continuing to determine who was driving the vehicle at the time of the collisions.
